A Small attempt to Escape from winter

As days here in Germany get shorter and shorter and the weather seems to get worse every time I look outside of the window, I finally realize that winter is here, unfortunately. However it’s the time of the year when I love to browse through the pictures I took in the last couple of months or even years and I especially enjoy the ones taken somewhere nice with beautiful and warm weather. Like these shots, which I haven’t uploaded yet. I took them on a sailing trip last year. We were on our way from Antigua to Barbuda as we came across this small coral island and we decided to spend the night there. We arrived in the afternoon and the first thing we did was a short hiking tour to get a nice view from top of the small hill just next to the beach. It turned out that the hiking was tougher than we originally thought. There were sharp-edged rocks and thorny plants all over the place. For some of us it was a painful experience. Anyway, lesson learned! Next time we will at least wear proper shoes. 😀 After sunset we spent the rest of the day hanging out next to our little campfire. That day was amazing and will definitely always be on my mind.

I always like your pictures in the review of Fuji X-T1. I think more than 10 times I have read that review. everything especially color tone and lighting are stunning. If it is possible, might you make a review how to process the picture like in that review.

I do most of my post processing in Lightroom, so there is nothing special to do a tutorial about.

Love these pictures and their color. Did you use the Fuji, Olympus or Sony?
