In the last couple of years, I am fortunate to be able to travel quite a bit, something that I am enjoying a lot. Last year I was on a sailing trip in Turkey and at the end of that week I had some time left to spend in Istanbul. Before that I had never been to Turkey but I always wanted to go to Istanbul since many people highly recommended it to me.

The city is rich of history, very beautiful and the people I’ve met there were very nice and kind. It was a pleasure to walk around the streets and try out my A7r with Zeiss 55/1.8. That was the first time I used that combo for street photography and it worked fine but the A7r is not the best choice for that genre of photography because it is simply too loud. 😀

Right after returning home I dumped the A7r and got myself an A7rII which I still use.
